Terrorists
Thirteen people were abducted and one person shot when terrorists attacked Maijaki village in Lapai local government area of Niger State.
This attack is coming few days after terrorists invaded the Abdulsalam Abubakar General Hospital in Gulu where two people were killed and 20 others, mainly medical staff, were abducted.
The Maijaki attack occurred at about 1 am on Friday as the terrorists were said to have entered the village shooting and waking the people from their sleep.
Those shot have been rushed to the hospital while community sources said that efforts are being made by local vigilantes to trail the abductees.
According to some community sources, the terrorists are suspected to be in the Kpashimi forest which is located in Lapai local government area.
It was learnt that over 500 security operatives of Operation Sharan Daji, including vigilantes have been deployed to the area to flush out the terrorists. (The Nation)
