A former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has described the late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Kabir Mohammed Maikarfi 111, as a great unifier while on earth.

He stated this during a visit to the family of the late monarch who died in September after a brief illness in Lokoja.

The former Kogi Governor used the opportunity to condole with the traditional council and the entire people of Lokoja chiefdom, Kogi state at large, stating that death remained an inevitable end.

He recalled how the late royal father contributed to his administration between 2003-2012, when he ruled the state, adding that the late Maigari’s positive contributions led to the politically , economically, socially and infrastructural upliftment of the state.

“The late Maigari always had the development of his domain and Kogi State in its entirety at heart,” Idris said, adding that “Almighty God will reward him for his good deeds hereafter.”

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris urged the people of his domain, Kogi State to continue to pray for the family he left behind, stating that the loss of the monarch was a great one, but that God knows best.
