A man has died during a marathon bed march in Lagos while another one took his life in different locations.
Report claims that a male guest at Crown Inn Hotel, Adeniji Adele area of the state, had gone in with a lady for a short time service when the incident happened.
According to a worker at the hotel, the lovers ordered for drinks and locked themselves inside to make time. The lady, however, came out after a while and pretended to be going out to buy something.
The worker told the Police that they didn’t suspect that the lady was deceiving them that she was going to purchase something across the road, ” until after the time that they booked had expired, and we decided to find out why they did not want to respect the time . When we knocked at the door, there was no response, so it dawn on us that the lady who told us that she was going to buy something had not yet come back, so when we opened the door, we discovered a naked man who had died on the bed.
"We had to report to Adeniji Adele police station. The police came to the scene, took photograph and evacuated the body to a public morgue.
“We are suspecting that he may have died during sex and that was why the lady ran away. We did not hear any scuffle or shout, so we did not suspect any foul play until we opened the door.”
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said, ” yes, it is true, a male guest who checked in with a lady in the hotel room died. The lady disappeared, leaving the dead man without traces. There was no mark or injury on the deceased. We have stepped up manhunt for the lady. We rely on CCTV camera for easy tracing. I hope the hotel will have CCTV camera. Anyone with useful information about the lady should contact the nearest police station.”
A man also committed suicide at Akinpelu area of Oshodi.
The PPRO said the police received a distress call and the police raced to the scene and met the deceased dangling in a rope he used in hanging himself from the ceiling.
He said the body has been taken to a public mortuary, while investigation continues on the matter.
