NUJ National President Chris Isiguzo

The Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated the National President of the Union, Chief Chris Isiguzo, describing as “well-deserved” the National Merit Award of the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) recently conferred on him by President Muhammadu Buhari.
A statement signed by the Council Chairman, Asma’u Halilu, and the Secretary, Gambo Santos Sanga, said the conferment of the national honours “is a clear indication of the demonstrable qualities of the number one journalist in the country”.
The council in a statement issued on Friday also expressed satisfaction “over the respect and dignity being accorded the NUJ by the Federal Government, particularly, the reward for national sacrifices by the president of the Union, Chief Chris Isiguzo.”
The statement urged government at all levels to complement “the valuable mark established by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration with a view to encouraging potentials towards national development.”
