The newly turbaned Galadiman Gbagi, Andrew Fadason
By GARBA MUHAMMAD, Kaduna
The Esu Chikun, the SA Gbagi II, His Royal Highness, Ishaku Yari, has conferred the traditional title of Galadiman Gbagi on a former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, Chief Andrew A. Fadason.
The coronation ceremony of the veteran journalist and about 20 others was held last Friday and Saturday at the temporary palace of the chiefdom at Sabo Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking shortly after the coronation, Saturday, SA Gbagi noted that the chiefdom has been able to confer titles on some of her sons and daughters, while thanking God for the success and commended the state government for their support.
He said the coronation was necessary to hit the ground running, by constituting his Council after he was appointed and given the staff of office recently.
He called on all the turbaned to rise above board, adding that their coronation was basically, to serve the people.
He said, as titled men and women, they should be careful wherever they go and in whatever they do, as all eyes would now be on them, while wishing them success.
Three of those turbaned are to replace their bereaved parents, such as the new Galadima, Chiroma and Jagaba of the Chiefdom.
