The Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Ali Wudil, made this declaration during an oversight function of the House Committee to the National Productivity Center, Abuja.
The Committee lauded the ongoing reforms initiated by Dr. Kashim Akor in the last seven years, particularly on training and retraining, capacity building and empowerment, entrepreneurial development by the agency and also the crucial roles it was playing in the execution of constituency and related projects by the National Assembly members.
He said the innovations has acquainted Nigerians with one form of productive activities or the other, with concerted efforts to ensure self-realization and reliance both in white collar jobs, skilled and un-skilled activities.
He promised that the National Assembly would enact more legislation that would provide more legal avenues to enable NPC to prosecute and improve on its primary assignment.
Earlier, the Director-General of NPC, Dr. Kashim Akor, and his management had appreciated the routine constitutional exercise being carried out in the agency, including other Ministries, Departments and Agencies, stating that it would encourage it to toe the line of the core values of the organization.
Dr Akor stated that NPC’s doors were wide open for scrutiny and admonitions on other best practices, saying the agency remains the hub of exemplary leadership in Nigeria.
