NASC Chairman, Engr Ahmed Kadi Amshi
Chairman of National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), Engr Ahmed Kadi Amshi, says the commission was committed to the early completion and commissioning of the new office complex of the Commission located at the Three Arms Zone.
Kahdi, while receiving the Chairman and members of House of Representatives Committee on Public Service Matters who were on oversight function, also requested for adequate budgetary provision for the project and other activities of the commission in the 2023 budget.
According to the NASC Chairman, the new NASC office complex would be completed and inaugurated before the 9th National Assembly wounds up, saying that 70 per cent of the job has been completed.
He assured the Committee of early completion of the Commission's new building once the funds were allocated, as that would save the Commission from operating from a rented property.
The Chairman of the NASC had earlier commended the leadership of the National Assembly for their commitment to the completion of the new structure.
Earlier, the committee Chairman, Engr Sani Bala, lauded the ongoing works on the project site and commended the leadership of the commission for efficient utilisation of resources and strict supervision.
He lauded the management of the commission for their determination to complete the new NASC building, saying the committee would support more budgetary provision for early completion of the project before the end of the 9th Assembly.
Engr Sani Bala maintained that the zeal to complete the new office complex would resolve not only accommodation problems and ease movement from the Commission to the National Assembly.
The Committee urged the Chairman to sustain the tempo , avoid wastage in line with his resolve to provide transparent and accountable leadership at the Commission.
Members of the committee who carried out the oversight function were: the Chairman, Engr Sani Bala, Rt Hon Femi Fakeye, Beni Lar, Sam Onuigbo and Ahmed Madaki. Others included Yerima Idris, Saidu Doka Umar, and Munir Baba Dan Agundi.
