Special Adviser to Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-rufai on Media and Communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, has dismissed the viral news that President Muhammadu Buhari has purportedly signed a bill that changes the name of Kaduna State to Zazzau State.
“Kaduna State has not been renamed.
“Ignore the elaborate piece of fiction that made the claim.
“It is fake news,” Adekeye tweeted Monday morning on his verified Twitter handle.
The viral fake news had stated that Senate President Ahmad Lawan “has assented to the bill and sent to President Buhari for final endorsement.”
It added that the “bill” which was purportedly jointly sponsored by Senator Suleiman Abdu Kwari of Zone 1 and Senator Uba Sani of Kaduna central was also confirmed by an aide to Senator Abdu Kwari to be non-existent and fake.
