TROYKA Holdings, Pan-Atlantic University partner RED Media on media summit

The first wholly Integrated Marketing Communications service provider in West Africa, Troyka Holdings, is partnering with one of Nigeria’s leading digital media firm, RED Media Africa, to host the first RED Summit, as its Institutional Partner.

Themed ‘The Media in a time of flux’, the Summit also has School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, Epe, Lagos, as partners. It will take place in Lagos between Thursday, October 15 and Saturday, October 17, at the Harbour Point Wilmont Point Close, Victoria Island.

Commenting on the Summit, the Chief Executive Officer, RED Media Africa, Chude Jideonwo, said: “The Summit is a meeting of leaders in the local and international media, which include traditional and new media, Public Relations and Advertising, to discuss the intersection of new and traditional media and the impact the fundamental paradigm shift in content consumption has had in the industry.”

The RED Summit will include a two-day conference for participants to connect, network and anchor high-level conversations and solutions about the media in Nigeria and across African audiences. There would also be West Africa’s largest inter-school media town hall, and an evening to celebrate 100 icons of the media.

Kenyan author, journalist and winner of the Caine Prize for African Writing, Binyavanga Wainana will be the keynote speaker at the event, while some of the speakers expected to present at the Summit are the Executive Producer of Coke Studio Africa, David Sanders; Corporate Affairs Director of Microsoft Corporation, Louis Otieno; award winning television host, Anita Erskine; former Managing Director of MNET Africa, Biola Alabi; Chief Executive Officer of leading lifestyle blog Bella Naija, Uche Pedro; Chief Executive Officer, Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor; General Manager of Beat FM, Deji Awokoya and former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi.

Other eminent personalities expected to speak at the summit are former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Communication and Public Affairs Manager of Google West Africa, Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade; Corporate Communication Director of Africa Practice, Rimini Makama; award winning journalist, Tolu Ogunlesi; Managing Director, The Quadrant Company, Bolaji Okusaga; General Manager, Insight Communication, Feyisola Olubodun and Managing Director, Media Perspectives, Tayo Oyedeji.

In the last decade, RED Media Africa has overlapped the traditional and new media to define the digital media area in Nigeria, by reining a content that speaks to a digitally connected generation. Red Media is also using the opportunity to celebrating ten successful years of operations
