
Asisat Oshoala
Super Falcons stars, Asisat Oshoala and Monday Gift, as well Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, were, yesterday, listed among nominees for 2022 CAF Awards billed to hold in Rabat, Morocco, on July 21.
Oshoala is among nominees for Player of the Year Award, Gift is a nominee for two awards, Young Player of the Year and Inter-Club Player of The Year, while Rivers Angels are nominated in the Club of the Year category.
Super Falcons’ Coach, Randy Waldrum and Flourish Sebastine of Bayelsa Queens are listed in the Coach of the Year and Young Player of the Year categories respectively.
The list by CAF includes five nominees each for the Women’s Player of the Year and Women’s Interclub Player of the Year.
According to CAF, 10 were nominated for the Coach of the Year category, using the group phase matches at the ongoing TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2022.
It said the winners of each category would be decided by a voting panel made up of CAF Technical Committee, media representatives, head coaches and captains of member associations and clubs involved at the group stage of the Interclub competitions.
