While Cesar Azpilicueta missed for Chelsea, Sadio Mane saw his weak kick saved by his Senegalese compatriot Edourd Mendy to leave scores at 4-4 after the initial five kicks.

In the ensuing sudden Allison saved Mason Mount’s kick to hand victory to Liverpool in the 141st FA Cup final.

Liverpool, who beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final in February, are chasing an unprecedented quadruple after reaching the Champions League final, while they are three points behind leaders Manchester City in the Premier League with two games to go.
