The Interconnections for Making Africa Great Empowered and Sustainable (IMAGES) Initiative is set to the hold her annual circularity initiative. The theme for this year event is Paradoxes of Natural Resources in Africa, billed for May 9 - 13, 2022, at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Time: 08:00 – 17:00 Hours Daily (GMT +1) both in a hybrid mode.

IMAGES founder, Dr. Olawale Emmanuel Olayide, said during a press conference held on Thursday that the event is being put together in collaboration with Africa Circular Economy Research and Policy Network (ACERPiN) and consortium of professional across the Globe.

The Circularity Conference is a think-tank for driving the objectives of IMAGES which that aims to catalyse and help create transformational partnerships to encourage actions that reflect integrated approaches to the three pillars of Sustainable Development – Social, Economic, and Environment. Circularity Conference is expected to provide policymakers, civil society, development agencies and researchers with a comprehensive set of innovative approaches and tested good practices around unlocking women and men’s great potential in achieving of Sustainable Development Goals and Africa Agenda 2063.

Confirmed speakers and others are Dr. Sandra Caeiro, Universidade Aberta and Centre for Environmental and Sustainability Research at NOVA University of Lisbon Portugal and other personalities including: Professor Oladapo Afolabi, CFR, Distinguished Chairman; Engr. Mike Ale, Male Integrated, Ibadan, Nigeria; Barrister Abiodun Abdul-Raheem, Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Oyo State; Dr. Olusola Ayoola, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN); Dr. Obichi Obiajunwa, Skill G Innovation Centre & Innovation Fellowship for Aspiring Inventors and Researchers (I-FAIR), Abuja, Nigeria.

Dr. Olawale in a statement while fielding questions form the journalist said the 3rd edition of the Circularity Africa Conference is very unique compared to the past the editions held in 20220, and 2019 that has been a one-day event. Hence, this year’s edition is tagged 3rd Circularity Africa Week 2022 as it is loaded with Launch of Carbon Offset Project, Robotics Event, Exhibitions, Awards and tour.
