Residents of Geidam town headquarters of Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State were thrown into pandemonium following strange sounds that created panic and rumours among the people.
A resident who spoke with DAILY INDEPENDENT on the condition of anonymity revealed that “we heard strange sounds which made us to rush home and lock our doors, we have been living in panic and don’t know actually what is happening now.”
ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Yobe Command, said that they are making efforts to know the true situation.
