AEDC to disrupt electric supply in Abuja on Saturday, Sunday

The Management of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), on Friday alerted that it would interrupt electric supply in some areas of Abuja, on Saturday, February 19 and Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 9am to 4pm on both days.

The areas include, Lokogoma, Gudu, Apo, Garki, Lugbe, Airport Road and environs.

AEDC said the interruption of power supply is to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to carry out a maintenance exercise on the 33KV feeders at the Apo Transmission substation.

While appealing for understanding of the customers, AEDC said in a statement,

“We apologize for the inconvenience and appeal that you kindly bear with us.”

The Company assured that normal supply will be restored as soon as this maintenance is completed.

News Expressrecalls that customers in the aforementioned locations have been experiencing worsening power outages for some time now.
