Biafra Nations League (BnL) has warned the Federal Government that it was playing with fire and should expect more trouble following the continuous adjournments of the case involving the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

BnL insisted that by continuing with Kanu’s trial, President Mohammadu Buhari has disrespected the Igbo elders who visited him to demand for his release.

National Leader of BnL, Princewill C. Richards, accused the Presidency of interfering with the court proceedings, faulting the newly added five charges filed in less than 24 hours to the court case.

Richards who met with Ejagham-speaking officers of the group in Ikom, Cross River State, on Wednesday, where they observed the trial in their meeting, said the federal government was inviting more trouble, stressing that IPOB’s sit-at-home was not enough civil disobedience than what BnL would throw up.

He, however, advised those who were attacking individuals in the South East for disrespecting the sit-at-home order to stop such acts, adding that IPOB leadership should resolve it's misunderstanding and speak with a united voice in order not to confuse their supporters.

Meanwhile, in a statement releasedWednesday by the Standing Committee of Senior Officials of BnL (S.C.S.O), the implementation body of the group, signed by the Chairman and Admin Officer, Godstime Ntukidem, the BnL said there would be more aggression from the group’s angle after their ultimatum expires on January 23. The group maintained its opposition to those calling for political solution to Biafra and the release of Kanu.
