The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has revealed how he survived a terrible storm during a boat cruise by sleeping.

The cleric revealed this in a video which was posted via his official Twitter page, narrating how he experienced a terrible storm on a boat cruise and he was led by Jesus Christ to follow his example by sleeping through the storm.

He said, “If Jesus is in your boat, no matter how terrible the storm is, your boat won’t sink.

“Some of my children said you must rest and bought me a ticket to go on a cruise. The best place to holiday it’s on a cruise, they rejoice in overfeeding you.

“I enjoyed myself, everything was good until a storm came. The storm took that massive boat and toss it up, two stories high, and drop it. And everything was scattered all over the place, things got so bad that the captain called us together and said, ‘don’t worry, there are 12 categories of a storm, don’t worry we are only in category ten. Just go to your cabin and stay calm’

“I got to my cabin and said ‘God what am I doing here? What can I do now?’ And God said to me, ‘when I was in the world, there was a storm, what did I do?’ I said you slept.

“I jumped on my bed, and within two minutes I was gone. By the time I woke up, we were already by land. The storm ended and I didn’t even know when.” (Text, excluding headline, courtesy Daily Independent)
