Associate Professor Aurelius Ojoina Omali

The Governing Council of Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba (formerly Kogi State University) has promoted a foremost Geologist, Dr Aurelius Ojoina Omali, to the rank of Associate Professor.
Dr Omali until his elevation served in various capacities in the institution, including Head of Department of Geology, and Assistant Director, Centre for Entrepreneurial Development.
Omali joined the institution in 2002 as a graduate assistant in the Department of Geology, were he rose through the cadre as assistant lecturer, senior lecturer and now reader in the institution.
His rich experience in academic and administrative positions earned him the recent promotion to the rank of Associate Professor.
A recipient of local and international academic awards, Dr Omali has attended both local and international conferences.
A native of Okenyi in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State, he obtained a degree in Geology from the University of Jos, before proceeding to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka for his MSC Geology, and subsequently his PhD in the same field of endeavour.
Omali’s elevation has been backdated to 2019.
