Governor Kayode Fayemi
Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has directed the refund of application form fees collected from the numerous job seekers into local governments in the state.
This was as the state government announced the postponement of the three-day examination for the jobs earlier scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
The Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission in a Public service announcement signed on his behalf by an official, Adewunmi Fawekun, said that further information on the new date would be conveyed to the candidates in due course.
The Secretary stated that, “the governor, Dr Fayemi, has directed that the employment forms be made free of charge to all candidates. The LGSC has, therefore, commenced the schedule of refund of the application fees and this will be communicated to the affected candidates soon.
“This is to inform the general public, particularly candidates who obtained employment forms at the LGSC that the examinations earlier slated to commence on Wednesday 29th December 2021 will not hold as scheduled. Further information will be conveyed to the candidates in due course,” he added.
The state government two months ago invited interested candidates to apply for vacancies in both junior and senior categories of its workforce.
