Security agents have blocked the road connecting Lagos and Ogun border communities in the Ojodu Berger – Alagbole-Ajuwon-Akute axis to prevent a fire outbreak following the fall of a fuel tanker while trying to enter the Oando filling station in Alagbole to discharge fuel.
The accident, which happened early this Saturday morning, December 4, 2021, has forced the police to close the road to inbound traffic at Yakoyo and outbound traffic at Cele Bus Stop adjacent Alagbole Market.
"The police have taken charge of the situation and no vehicle is allowed to ply the Yakoyo – Alagbole axis to apparently prevent possible fire outbreak as a result of fuel spill,” reports News Express Special Correspondent, Elijah Akhile Akhideno.
“People are forced to disembark and trek but the situation is under control as fire fighters have arrived and are spraying water on the road to prevent any form of fire,” Akhideno adds.
