Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress under the aegis of Progressives Governors Forum held a crucial meeting behind closed doors.

The meeting which is being held at the Kebbi State Governors Lodge Asokoro, Abuja, started at about 9:20 pm

Virtually all 20 APC governors attended the meeting.

Although the agenda is yet to be made public, it was gathered that the crisis in the party, the direct primary clause in the Electoral Act, and the national convention are top on the agenda.

Those who had arrived at the meeting venue at 9:00pm included the host and Kebbi governor, Abubakar Bagudu, his counterparts from Kogi, Nasarawa, Katsina, Plateau, Ekiti, Jigawa, Kano, Kwara, Imo, Borno, Ebonyi, Lagos, Zamfara, Niger, Ogun and Cross River.

The governors of Osun, Yobe, Gombe, and Kaduna States were said to be on their way.
