Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos, Mr David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has distributed the last batch of West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) forms to no fewer than 150 indigent students of the area.

Odunmbaku said during the distribution of the WASSCE registration PIN to beneficiaries on Friday that he would leave no stone unturned in his education agenda.

The council mayor promised that the number of beneficiaries would increase by 2022.

Odunmbaku boasted that he will continue to support education at all levels. “Education is one of my top priorities, my agenda is to lift as many children out of the street back to school, I will continue to support education at all levels,” he said.

“By this time next year, we’ll increase the number of beneficiaries, every child must have access to quality education,” he added.

The council boss admonished the students to obey their parents and shun vices. “You are all the future of tomorrow, my advice to you is to follow parental guidance, do what is right and shun what is wrong. These two keys will open doors for you, your education is your future, focus on it,” he said.

Meanwhile, Odunmbaku on Saturday congratulated the newly elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State, Cornelius Ojelabi, the Assistant State Treasurer, Oludele Sonola and other party executive officers who were elected into various positions in the party’s administrative structure.

Odunmbaku in his congratulatory message through his Chief Press Secretary, Jumu’ah Abiodun, welcomed the new EXCO on board.

“Let me on behalf of Ojodu LCDA APC members congratulate our new Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, the Assistant State Treasurer, Hon. Oludele Sonola and others who emerged as our State Officers. You are welcome on board. Once again, Congratulations on your new positions,” he said.

The council boss charges the newly elected EXCO to take the party to victory in the forthcoming general elections. “2023 is upon us, there are enormous tasks ahead of you, we know you can do it, it is now time to work assiduously for total victory in 2023,” he said.

Ojelabi and Sonola were elected on Saturday, October 16, 2021, during the party’s congress held at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos.
