The Sokoto State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated Comrade Chris Isiguzo on his re-election as National President of the Union.
It equally congratulated the newly elected Vice President and Secretary of Zone A, Muhammad Tukur Umar and Abdurrazak Bello Kaura respectively.
Imam, while congratulating other newly elected national leaders of the union, also tasked them to work towards re-uniting members of the union.
The statement also charged the new leaders to lead the union to prosperity by initiating programmes that will improve the capacity, well-being and welfare of members.
“The council however, appealed to those who could not win at the just concluded national delegates conference to take it in good faith and support the new leaders to succeed in discharging their mandates,” it stated.
It also called on the national president to reach out to his co-contender and other aggrieved members with a view of rebuilding a formidable union.
