A middle-aged man was yesterday, September 20, 2021, brutally killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Aba, the commercial hub of the South East of Nigeria.
The young man, said to be a terror to residents of Evina road axis of the city, was believed to have been attacked by members of a rival cult group, who according to an eye witness, had trailed the victim, simply identified as Edu, to an isolated area on the street before killing him.
According the eye witness, Edu “pleaded with his assailants to spare his life to no avail.” They simply ignored his pleas and quickly “shot him severally in the head,” he disclosed.
WhenNews Expressvisited the scene of the incident, blood stain was seen, while the corpse was said to have been taken to the house of the victim’s parents nearby.
