Romeo’s Pizza and Coldberry Ice Cream opened at the weekend at Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Popularly known as Champion Pizza, Romeo’s Pizza is a franchise of Romeo’s Pizza, one of the fastest growing pizza companies in the United States. It entered Abuja in a big way, opening outlets at Garki and Gwarimpa over the weekend.

Speaking at the opening ceremony which was graced by who is who in the business, government and entertainment industries in Abuja and beyond, Ifeanyi Onwubiko, Chairman of Irukka Online Limited, the owners of Romeo’s Pizza and Coldberry Ice Cream, said that Romeo’s Pizza and Coldberry Ice cream has come to take the Nigeria’s Quick Service Restaurant sector to a new level.

According to him, “Romeo’s pizza has come to give all the existing pizza companies in the country a run for their money.”

He said that they are “bent on replicating what Romeo’s Pizza is doing in the United States, here in Nigeria, which is providing services and also creating massive employment for the teeming unemployed.”

Speaking further, Onwubiko said that the purpose of bringing the franchise to Nigeria is for Nigerians to have the best.

He also said that from Abuja Romeo’s Pizza and Coldberry Ice Cream would spread to other parts of the country.

Some of the side attractions at the opening ceremony included a raffle draw where winners were given free pizza, buy one pizza and get one free for the first 30 customers and also buy one traditional medium pizza and get one free.

For the Coldberry Ice Cream, it was buy any classic cup and get one free.

The promotion would continue till September 17, 2021.

Some of those who thronged to the opening ceremony commended the management of the company for their initiative and promised to keep on patronising them.
