Late Kogi State Polytechnic Rector, Prof Matthew Ajibero

Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has condoled the people of Kogi State over the death of former Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Matthew Ajibero.
Idris lamented in a statement that Prof. Ajibero’s death came at a time his wise and elderly advice was needed in Kogi so as to move the state forward.
He recalled how late Professor Ajibero’s wealth of experience both in public and academic circles brought a lot of development and stability to the state polytechnic, Lokoja.
According to former Kogi Governor, “Aside his appointment and meritorious service at the polytechnic, he was our rallying point when issues that bordered on our tertiary institutions came to fore while I was in government.
“My administration was lucky to have attracted such a brilliant and level-headed academic, who turned around the state polytechnic, the template that is currently being sustained by subsequent leadership of the institution.”
Ex-Governor Idris commiserated with Prof. Ajibero’so immediate family over the loss, praying for the repose of his soul.
