Governor Obiano

The National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) Coordinator in Anambra state, Yetunde Baberinwa, has called on the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, to save the camp from a devastating erosion menace threatening it.
She said that a scrutiny of the environment showed that different areas have already been ravaged by the erosion.
According to her, if the erosion menace is not urgently checked, it will destroy the beauty the camp has attracted in the state.
“We therefore passionately appeal to the governor to expedite action on the landscaping of the premises currently under serious threat of erosion.
“I wish to remind the governor on the need to address the menace caused by erosion inside the orientation camp,” Baberinwa added.
The Nnamdi Azikiwe Unity Permanent Orientation camp, which is located at Umuawulu-Mbaukwu in Awka South Local Government Area of the state is known for its deep gullies especially at the orientation camp area.
The appeal came on the heels of the arrival of 2,207 new corps members deployed to the state.
They include 1,046 males and 1,161 females deployed in the batch B stream 1 of the scheme.
