Wednesday night, billionaire businessman, entertainer and a show killer, Obi Iyiegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana, returned to the country after six days holiday abroad.
Maggie’s Blogreports that one week after burying his mother on Friday, July 16, the 46 years old chairman of the Cubana Group and wife Ebele, travelled out on a private holiday.
On Wednesday, the Oba, Anambra State-born Political Science graduate from the University of Nigeria Nsukka disembarked from the aircraft at Enugu Airport and was surprised at the mammoth crowd that thronged to received him.
The crowd drummed, danced and sang his praises while he acknowledged with smiles and wave of his hands.
The excited moneybag said about the lavish reception:
“Like play, like play, person don turn celebrity o! Fiam, just like that! Enugu we are here.”
From the airport, he was driven in a convoy to his mansion at Oba where he reunited with his four children, all boys.
Embracing his children he said: “Back home finally. I missed you my boys! Thank you God.”
Meanwhile, popular Nollywood comic actor, McSmith, has changed his name from Mcsmith Ochendu to Mcsmith Cubana.
The Anambra State-born veteran actor who is known by his unique dreadlock hair in most of his movies announced the change of name on his Instagram page after watching the video of the lavish Enugu airport reception accorded Obi Cubana on Wednesday.
“Special announcement. I don change my name from today. Anywhere you see me, call me Ochendu Cubana. We are all from Oba, biko. Okpole nwannem,” announced the lanky actor.
