Afropop singer, songwriter, actress and activist, Yemi Eberechi Alade, known simply as Yemi Alade, has made a promise to young Nigerian girls and ladies in general.

The 32 years old University of Lagos graduate whose father is Yoruba and mother Igbo, made a vow that she will always strive to succeed in whatever she engages in so as to be a shining example to the young women in a world dominated by the menfolk.

The “I’m looking for Johnny” crooner wrote on her Instagram page on Monday:

“Being a woman in a man’s world is a challenge. I will continue to overcome so the younger girls and ladies have a great example to follow.”
