ASUUs new President, Prof Victor Emmanuel Osodeke

Prof. Victor Emmanuel Osodeke of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, has been elected President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Aldo elected were Chris Piwuna, a Consultant Psychiatrist and Associate Professor in the College of Medicine, University of Jos, as Vice President; and Prof. Siji Sowande (Treasurer); Prof. Ade Adejumo (Financial Secretary).
Others include Dr. Austen Sado (Investment Secretary); Dr. Adamu Babayo (Internal Auditor) and Dr. Stella-Maris Okey (Welfare Secretary).
The new executive elected on Sunday at the national delegates conference of ASUU held in Awka, Anambra State, is expected to pilot the affairs of the union for the next two years.
Osedeke before his appointment as ASUU boss was Vice President to outgone President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, while Piwuna was the Internal Auditor of ASUU and its former Chairman in UNIJOS before the new appointment.
