Police in Katsina State has neutralized five suspected bandits, arrested 16 others and recovered 69 stolen cows and a few quantities of drugs.

Isah said the five bandits were neutralized when police engaged them in a shootout in Kafur, Danja, Dutsinma, Safana, Batsari andMakera in Funtua.
He said 15 other people were arrested during the encounter, while Musa Shamsudin, 25, was arrested for allegedly going into the forest to treat “sick and injured bandits”.
According to Isah, three locally made rifles with 10 7.62mm rounds and locally made pellets were recovered from the bandits. (NAN)
