Ajegunle, Lagos State-born veteran actress from Benue State, Ada Ameh, received the biggest surprise of her life on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

It was the day she turned 47 years of age, and unknown to the bulky actress who plays Emu Johnson in the popular television series “The Johnsons”, a surprise package that shocked her was in the waiting.

Ada Ameh who has spent more than two decades in the Nigerian movie industry was ushered into a sitting room only for her to bump into dozens of colleagues and friends who suddenly burst into the “Happy birthday to you” chorus.

She nearly fainted. She later summoned up courage and started embracing everyone, one after the other. She was shocked that even those who had called her on phone earlier in the day to wish her a happy birthday kept the surprise evening birthday bash close to their chests.

Talking about the planning, the chief host and brain behind the surprise birthday dinner, actress Empress Njamah said: “Surprise birthday dinner for my boo. This was hard. This was very difficult. Planned in less than 72 hours. I called all these beautiful souls a day before, and they made it happen. Thanks to everyone that came. Ada Ameh I never start with you o!”

Stars at the surprise birthday bash include Fred Amata, Desmond Elliot, Keppy Ekpenyong Bassey, Daddy Showkey, Empress Njamah and many others.
