KADIRS officials sealing off the headquarters of Kaduna Electric on Wednesday morning

The Kaduna Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) on Wednesday morning sealed off the headquarters of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company popularly known as NEPA Building.
The building was sealed over tax liabilities amounting to N464,486,991.53k, being arrears of tax between 2012 and 2018 years of assessment.
Officials of KADIRS stormed the seven-storey building along Ahmadu Bello Way, near NEPA Round About, and placed the main gate and building entrance under lock.
Staff of the electricity company were sighted in groups discussing about the seal-off before dispersing.
Authorities of the company are yet to make any official statement on the development.
