The prediction is contained in a statement on the Weather Outlook issued by the NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) in Abuja on Sunday.
According to the statement, there would be prospects of localised thunderstorms over the region in the evening hours.
NiMet also predicted that the coastal areas would experience localised rains in the morning with strong prospects of thunderstorms during afternoon and evening periods.
NiMet also predicted that inland areas would experience cloudy conditions in the morning with high chances of localised thunderstorms in the afternoon.
It predicted that North-eastern states would have high chances of thundery activities in the morning.
