Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, Senator Emma Nwaka, has visited elder statesman Emmanuel Adaelu, to condole with him on the death of his eldest son, Engr. Alex Alozie Adaelu.

During the visit, which took place on April 6 in Elder Adaelu’s office at Agalaba, Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State, Nwaka spoke glowingly of the close relationship he has enjoyed over the years with the Adaelu family. He noted that it dates back to his early years as a legal practitioner in Aba and lately with Hon. Engr. Solomon Adaelu, Member Representing Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, hence his decision to pay this unscheduled visit to know how Elder is faring. He condoled the patriarch of the Adaelu family on the death of Engr. Alex, who has since been buried.

Responding, a visibly elated Elder Adaelu, a leading industrialist and former Chairman of Aba Chamber of Commerce, Mines, Industry and Agriculture, thanked Senator Nwaka for the visit. He eulogised Nwaka for “serving creditably well during his tenure as the PDP Chairman of Abia State.”

The elder statesman applauded Nwaka “for working along with His Excellency, Senator T.A. Orji, towards ensuring the emergence of Abia Governor of Ngwa extraction by invoking the spirit of equity, fairness and justice as well as respecting the Abia Charter of Equity to ensure a peaceful and development driven Abia State.”

He prayed and wished Senator Nwaka, who is believed to be eyeing the Abia State governor’s seat in 2023, well in his future political aspirations.
