In line with his new strategy to restructure the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and improve the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Oyo State, the Governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has announced the reduction of the state ministries from 23 to 13.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Honorable Michael Adeyemo, representing Ibarapa East Constituency on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, yesterday, at the House of Assembly Complex, Secretariat, Ibadan, the governor further restated his focus to revolutionise the transportation system, improve on primary health care centres and development of human capital through quality education in the state.
“The state government is pursuing this upgrade, in partnership with the Federal Government. We want to change the face of Ibadan Airport to a cargo airport status to further promote economic activities in the South-West zone which this state represents,” he added.
