The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, yesterday lauded the State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, for appointing a colleague, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, as his Special Assistant on Media.
The council described the appointment as an indication of the governor’s quest for professionalism, commitment and hard work.
This was contained in a congratulatory letter to Aruwan, signed by the council’s Secretary, Dominic Uzu, a copy of which was made available to media in Kaduna.
The letter reads: “The Executive and entire members of NUJ Kaduna State Council wish to congratulate you on your recent appointment as the Special Assistant on Media to Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State.
“Your appointment was a well deserved one and the council is proud of your professional contributions towards the success of your principal at the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state.
“The council also wishes to commend the governor for appointing one of us as his Special Assistant Media. It is an indication that the governor's quest for professionalism, commitment and hard work.”
The NUJ, therefore, pledged its cooperation and willingness to work harmoniously with the office of the SAM and the state government so as to jointly move the state forward.
