An interest group, representing the minority ethnic and religious people of North and Central Nigeria, has sent a message of congratulation to the President Muhammadu Buhari for his successful take-over of the reins of power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governement.
The group described itself as: “Victims of the ongoing insurgency and terrorism, whose plight have finally evolved the need for a change,” adding that they are no longer in doubt that their situation will effectively be handled under the new democratic dispensation.
This was contained in a media release by the Minority Interest Rights Project (MIRP) of Stefanos Foundation endorsed by the Programme Coordinator, Mr Mark Lipdo.
“We wish to heartily congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari and his team for this privilege to steer Nigeria into its rightful place among the comity of nations,” he said
