Day soldiers flogged Burna Boy, Davido silly in Lagos

Davido and Burna Boy

There was a day soldiers caught Burna Boy, Davido and Dammy Krane on their way from a hotel on VI and gave them thorough flogging on their buttocks.

This much, the Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer, David David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido revealed on Monday in a radio interview while reacting to the prestigious Grammy award lifted by singer, songwriter, rapper, and dancer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy.

Asked about his beefing with Burna Boy, the 28 years old performer who refers to himself as Omo Baba Olowo (OBO) said:

“My relationship with Burna has come a long way. Burna and I can’t sit in a room and argue to the extent of fighting each other. That time has passed. I am very happy for Burna’s success. This is someone people blocked his way, and I had always said that if his way is open, he will climb to the very top. And here we are today. I am very happy for him.”

Continuing, the father of three daughters from different mothers said:

“I knew Burna since like 2010. I still remember one day Burna, Dammy Krane and I drove from one hotel on VI to meet 2Baba at Grasshopper. Some army boys caught us on the way and flogged us silly. That time we never blow like this. So it’s not today, Burna and I have come a long way. Forget those things you read in the media, Burna is my brother. I am very happy for him.”
