Flying Eagles fumble in Under-20 World Cup opener (Nigeria 2 Brazil 4)

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria early this morning began their 2015 Under-20 World Cup campaign in New Zealand on a poor note with a 2-4 loss to Brazil.

Brazil opened scoring through Gabriel de Jesus in the fourth minute, but Nigeria responded with an Isaac Success equaliser in the 10th minute.

Nigeria took the lead through Musa Yahaya in the 28th minute but Brazil stormed back in the 34th minute through Judivan.

In the second half Brazil proved too much for the Flying Eagles as Gabriel Boschila and Judivan scored in the 59th and 82nd minute to leave Nigeria in a tight spot in Group E.

As at the time of this report the other teams in the group, North Korea and Hungary, were yet to play.
