Commissioner kidnapped in Kogi

Kogi State Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr Stephen Maiyaki, has been abducted to unknown destination.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that Maiyaki was kidnapped by people numbering up to six at about 8:30 a.m. on Sunday in his farm at Osara in Adavi Local Government Area.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Shola Adebayo, confirmed the incident and said details would be provided later.

Maiyakim was appointed commissioner in May 2012.

Justice Christopher Olorunyomi of the State High Court was similarly kidnapped in the same area on May 27 and his whereabouts are still unknown.

His abductors are demanding N150 million before he could be released. (NAN)
