Gunmen have raided Omoba Police Station in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia.
It was learnt that the incident occurred on Monday evening.
The gunmen, it was gathered, killed one police operative during the raid.
Residents confirmed that the killed operative was one Williams during the raid that lasted for three hours.
The gunmen, numbering 16, reportedly caught the police officers off guard, overpowered them and carted away arms from the armory.
They were said to arrive in the Omoba community on motorcycles through Umuene, a neighbouring community where they waited till nightfall. (The Nation)
