The Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria has expressed confidence in the leadership of the Force, while charging the public to be alive to their civic responsibilities of being law abiding, assist police in crime control and providing information about criminals to the police.
The association stated this yesterday through a delegation led by its president, Dr Ona Ekhomu, while paying a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase in his office.
It also appealed to government to provide the police with relevant modern equipment to fight crime as applicable in modern day policing and international best practices.
Arase, in his response, appreciated their pledge to collaborate with the Police. He re-emphasised his commitment to make the welfare of his men paramount and also his thrust on a paradigm shift on strategic plan that will make Nigeria Police operate in line with international standard. He further promised a robust symbiotic relationship with the Association.
