Rep member, Hon Sylvester Ogbaga
By CHARLES IWUOHA
A member of House of Representatives, Hon. Sylvester Ogbaga, has implored Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State to pay more attention to the social well-being of the people.
Ogbaga, a fourth term lawmaker who represents Abakaliki/Izzi Federal constituency of Ebonyi State, said this at Isu, Onicha Local Government Area on Sunday.
He noted that Umahi remains “a friend of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) despite his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
Recall that Umahi, who was elected governor for a second term under the umbrella of the PDP, defected to the rival APC in November amidst controversy.
The lawmaker noted that although Umahi was now in the APC, he rose to political stardom via the PDP.
“We have no two governors in Ebonyi, and we expect him as our leader to address the threats to PDP members and the general insecurity in the state.
“It is still surprising that Umahi, who remains our friend and brother, joined APC when we were expecting the party to meet the expectations of Nigerians,”
Ogbaga said.
While commending Umahi for projects he executed, urged him “to pay special attention to stomach infrastructure.”
He also called on President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to do more to tackle insecurity in Nigeria
