Residents of Port Harcourt, Rivers State witnessed a glamorous award event recently. It was the maiden edition of Ikwerre Recognition Award, 2020 hosted by Nollywood actor, Stanley Dan J.

The event, which kicked off at exactly 2:00pm with a red carpet reception, was attended by celebrities, top comedians, musicians, politicians and other personalities.

The audience was thrilled by scintillating performances from comedians and musicians including Dandy Boy, Chi-Money and others.

Ikwerre wrestling drumbeaters held the audience spellbound with their melodious sounds.

One of the award nominees, Nollywood actor Bobby Ogoloma, was seen dancing and appreciating the drum beaters. Other sons and daughters of Ikwerre land who could not sit back and watch danced to their satisfaction.

The maidens were seen dancing and twisting their waists vigorously and swiftly.

Stanley Dan J thanked all who honoured the invitation at the maiden event.

He hinted that Ikwerre Recognition Award is not meant for Ikwerre sons and daughters alone but a national award recognition event for those who have distinguished themselves through hard work and excellence in their various fields of endeavours.

He thanked God for the inspiration and all who supported him towards making the event a huge success.
