Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major General John Eneche
By JACOB SEGUN OLATUNJI
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) on Wednesday declared that the Military was not part of the purported ongoing negotiation with the abductors of the Students of the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara Local Government Area of Kastina State.
The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations (DMO), Major General John Eneche made the clarification in Abuja while briefing Defence Correspondents on the operations of the Armed Forces of Nigeria in the various theatres across the six geo-Political Zones taggetted at ending insurgency activities in the country.
General Eneche who stated that it was not in the character or parts of the rule of engagement of the Military to negotiate with percived criminals vowed that the Nigerian Military would rescue the remaining abducted School boys from their abductors soon.
According to him, “we are going on with our operations, it is a total Military Operation, we are taking the abductors by their action and we get the Children rescued as soon as possible, everybody has a role to play, even the parents of the children, so, if they say the state Governor is negotiating with the abductors, fine, but I want to say that the Military is not part of it.”
