Ebonyi Commissioner for Business Development, Dr Stephen Odoh

The Ebonyi State Ministry for Business Development has commenced online profiling and training for successful applicants for the N3 billion #Endsars youths empowerment fund.
The Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Dr Stephen Odoh, disclosed this in a statement s made available to newsmen on Friday in Abakaliki.
The fund approved by Gov Dave Umahi was geared towards establishing youths of the state in chosen trades and occupation.
The statement reads in part: “His Excellency, Chief Dave Umahi has graciously approved the online profiling for the N3 billion Youth ENDSARS Empowerment Fund.
“To this effect, the Ministry of Business Development in line with her mandate hereby invites all applicants for the aforementioned fund to enroll in the Umahi Mentorship Scheme of the Ministry.
“Participants will be groomed by established and successful business owners and seasoned facilitators in the ‘Umahi Mentorship programme’ to achieve maximum business success and sound investment choices.”
The commissioner said that participants would be trained identifying business opportunities for appropriate investment of the fund by successful beneficiaries.
He added that training would also be hinged on business plan preparation; financial business Management, mindset re-orientation, record and book keeping among others.
Odoh said that the profiling and training which commenced Thursday, Nov 26 would hold every Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Staff Development Centre, Kpirikpiri, Ministry of Business Development Multi Purpose hall.
“The training is geared towards ensuring the reorientation of prospective beneficiaries towards judicious investment of the funds that will be made available by the governor.
“The programme has special focus on boosting economic recovery, development of new businesses in the state, efficient loan recovery and effective implementation,” the statement added.
Odoh further urged participants to the training to take advantage of the free training to enhance their capacity in business strategies and development.
