The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj-Gen. Lasisi Adegboye, has tasked officers and soldiers on the need for periodic asset declaration as expected from public officers.

Adegboye gave the task on Monday while declaring open Nigerian Army Code of Conduct Bureau Workshop for officers and soldiers in the Division in Enugu.

The workshop is being organised by the Nigerian Army in collaboration with Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) under the Presidency.

The GOC noted that Nigerian army personnel must continue to abide by the code of conduct of public service as well as regimental professionalism as always expected from Nigerian Army personnel.

According to him, this workshop is aimed at enlightening officers and soldiers’ in 82 Division Area of Responsibility (AOR) on asset declaration and code of conduct.

“I am delighted that the Division is hosting this one-day workshop which is in line with the directive of the Chief of Army Staff.

“I enjoin participants from formations and units within the Division to approach the training with all seriousness it deserves,” he said.

In attendance at the opening ceremony included; the Representative of the Chief of Army Standard and Evaluation, Brig-Gen. E. J. Ejeh; Chief of Staff of 82 Division, Brig.-Gen. G. O. Omoregbe and 82 Division Training Officer Brig.-Gen. J.C. Ogbonna among others.

Highlight of the opening ceremony of workshop was a group photograph of the GOC, Commanders, Principal Staff Officers of the Division with the team from the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
