Ace comedian and actor, Ayodeji Richard Makun, also known by his stage name AY, has disclosed what has been bothering him about the #EndSARS protests.

The 49 years old Ondo State-born Theatre Arts graduate from Delta State University, Abraka, made the disclosure on his Instagram page on Monday following criticisms from his fans alleging half-hearted participation in the protests by him.

He wrote: “When we didn’t post anything about #EndSARS it was a big issue. When we posted, they said people were out there protesting and we were busy with our tweeting fingers. We decided to come out, it ended with conclusion of some of us encouraging the youth to their untimely death. You honestly can’t please everyone in this world.”

The ribs cracker who claims to have graduated after spending nine years in the University however pledged his loyalty to the struggle: “Our individual business is our business, and it will never make us compromise our collective cry and resolve for a better Nigeria.”

Advising those who said he didn’t do enough during the protests, he said: “The earlier you quit the distractions and let us come together as one to fight the good fight we started, the better for us all.”
