Electric poles
By CHARLES IWUOHA
The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has announced the commencement of electric poles and Low Tension Circuits (LTC) relocation and rearrangement in parts of Trans-Ekulu axis of Enugu.
The Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, said this in a statement made available to news men in Enugu on Saturday.
Ezeh said that the exercise was part of EEDC’s efforts to sanitise its network, improve turnaround time to fault clearing, enhance service quality and minimise losses.
According to him, the exercise, which commenced with the West Road 6 transformer, will continue until the affected transformers within the area are sanitised.
“As a result of this development, electricity supply to customers residing at West Road 5, West Road 1, Igwesi Close and Corporation Boulevard will be disrupted during the period of the exercise,” he said.
Ezeh, however, solicited for the support of customers in the affected areas.
He assured them that the exercise, when completed, would deliver quality, reliable power supply and ultimately reduce the level of loss experienced in the areas.
“We regret the inconveniences this will cause our esteemed customers and assure them that supply will be restored once the work is completed.
“EEDC remains committed to consistently deliver improved services to her esteemed customers,” the EEDC spokesman added.
