The Department of State Services (DSS) says Rufai Abubakar, a.k.a Dr Tsiga, one of the co-masterminds of the Nyanya bus terminus bombing is still a suspect on its wanted list.
Spokesperson of the DSS, Marilyn Ogar, stated this on Wednesday while responding to a question at a news conference organised by the National Information Centre.
It would be recalled that the bomb, believed to be planted by suspected Boko Haram elements, rocked the motor park on April 14, 2014 and killed over 70 people.
According to Ogar, “Tsiga is still a wanted man. I am surprised that the media houses have gone to sleep.
“We have to keep refreshing the memories of Nigerians with his picture because once you keep seeing his picture, you will know that this is a wanted person.
“He is still wanted. If he has been arrested, of course, we, DSS would have shown him to the public.”
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the DSS declared Tsiga wanted along with another co-mastermind of the bombing, Aminu Ogwuche, in 2014.
Ogwuche had since been arrested by the Interpol in Sudan, where he fled to after the bombing and had been repatriated to the country where he is now facing trial over terror-related offences. (NAN)
